Lazio and Fiorentina are considering doing a season long loan swap deal for Ledesma and Kuzmanovic. Interesting. Ledesma is better than Kuzmanovic. But if Lotito gets D'Agostino, that's a massive coup.
People question his quality??? The guy is as good a regista as Ledesma and he scores a lot of goals. Only downside is he isn't as good defensively, but we already have mediani who can win the ball and add some steel to midfield.
Lazio midfield with D'Agostino would be the step up we need to challenge for 4th (provided we get a defender, which I'm not confident we will).
No one wants Stendardo cause let's face it, a very average defender that has cause trouble in 2 dressing rooms in 3 years?? Hardly a hot prospect. But we need to sell Big G to get a new defender.
Hence why Lotito is offering Udinese Ledesma plus Stendardo (and/or Meghni) to take D'Ago. We solve the problem of another 'dissidente', we sign a top class replacement and by selling Stendardo, we free up a place for a new central defender.
I don't think that this will pan out cause Udinese don't want to sell until next season when they can get big money from a Juventus or Milan, but if it does, then Lotito will pull of a small piece of mercato magic.
Here's some actual news...Ettore Mendicino will apparently be loaned to Crotone on Thursday. Good for him to get some experience in Serie B. As I metioned in the dedicated Ledesma topic, it seems Lotito offered the 'dissidenti' to Corvino and they decided to only take De Silvestri. Presumably, Lotito has been touting the other two to other clubs and with D'Agostino unsettled at Udinese...who knows.

| D'Agostino seems to me to be a one-season wonder, before that he was an average at best player. He is hardly an up and coming youngster so is unlikely to improve and may fall back into type. As for goals, well mostly pens and a few free-kicks last year and before that he had about 2 goals in 2 seasons - hardly prolific. If he arrives and proves me wrong then great, but I'm not getting too excited... | |

He played really well last season. A goo deal of players in Italy are late bloomers. That does not mean they are not good players because in previous season were not up to standard. Last season he scored 11 goals but also got 8 assists which is fantastic from where he plays in centrel midfield. He would be a fantastic addition to the squad in my opinion and is only a couple of months older then Ladesma. Juventus were after him before Melo.

| After the loss of De Silvestri one player comes to my mind as a replacement and that is Zaccardo could be a decent centre back for us while he can play as a right back if needed. A safe option to take Siviglia's place and its the right time. | |

Would prefer Canini to be honest. The coach wants him.

| New names are Upson and Collins from Westham, Mario Bolatti from Huracan and of course Canini, who Lotito wants to loan with the option to buy so usual Lotito tactics | |

Don't know...in Wolfsburg he failed, but he probably is still better (and younger ) than Siviglia. On the other hand it might really be possible to get him on a fair price...

| Upson and Collins? Zola confirmed that he wants to keep Upson and Collins is being chased by a number of Premier League sides.
As for Canini, there is much speculation that he didn't play last weekend because a move to Lazio is on. Canini's agent has confirmed that Lazio would be the perfect solution for his client and that working with Ballardini again would be a great thing.

| Thanks!
You see, Zola needs to bring in a striker, maybe two and in order to so, he needs to raise funds by selling a defender; Upson and Collins are the two guys most likely to go.
But, Zola said himself he wants to keep Upson, however, Collins is on the market. Lotito might be thinking about offering Pandev and including Upson or Collins or both in the deal and then all Zola's problems are solved. That would be a bit unusual though.

| OMG!!!!! Am I dreaming?? D'Agostino for Lazio dissidents? Wednesday 26 August, 2009 Udinese are pushing to exchange Gaetano DAgostino with dissident Lazio duo Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma. They have been frozen out of the squad following a contract dispute and so far no clubs have been able to match their price-tags. It has been reported that Lazio are in talks with the Friulani for this exchange, which would bring Italian international midfielder DAgostino to the Olimpico. At first Ledesma was the player thought to be part of the deal, but it is now suggested Coach Pasquale Marino wants Pandev instead. The Macedonian would be a replacement for Napoli-bound Fabio Quagliarella in the trident attack. It is still possible both Lazio stars could go to Udine for DAgostino and cash, as the Italian was valued at Ł10m earlier this summer when he was in talks with Juventus. Lazio must find a solution for Ledesma and Pandev before August 31, or be stuck with them for six months spent potentially in the stands. They have already released the third dissident by selling Lorenzo De Silvestri to Fiorentina for around Ł4m. http://www.football-italia.net/aug26l.htmlSo either D'Agostino-Pandev swap or D'agostino + Cash for Pandev and Ledesma....JUST SHOW ME WHERE TO SIGN! | |

| IŽm sure, that Lotito would take this transfer without +cash.
So it can be - D'Agostino for Ledesma and Pandev. No more cash!
This would be perfect. The only thing - we would make Udinese very strong, but they wonŽt be stronger than us.
After all the speculations - the formation could be:
Muslera
Lichti - Canini - Siviglia/Cribari/Diakite - Kolarov
Brocchi - D'Agostino - Matuzalem - Foggia/Mauri
Zarate - Rocchi
or with only 1 forward: Muslera
Lichti - Canini - Silviglia/Cribari/Diakite - Kolarov
Brocchi/Dabo/Baronio - Matuzalem
Zarate - D'Agostino - Foggia/Mauri
Cruz
I think this would be an amazing first eleven. But first - let us see who really is coming.

| Yep, Canini has probably been in pole position for quite a while. When Dainelli was somehow dropped from that Fiorentina deal, it's clear Lotito had someone else in line. That person now looks like Canini.
Udinese's frontline will contain: Di Natale, Pepe, Sanchez, Floro Flores, Corradi and in the near future Lodi. Do they really need a seventh striker in Pandev?

We really need more Italian players in the first team. Pandev for DŽAgostino would be a really nice move - itŽs not going to happen but it would be a really nice move (Udinese will never ever in a million years pay Pandev the salary he demands and deserves). Just imagine --------------- Cruz ------------- Zarate ------------------ Foggia ---------- DŽAgostino ---------- -- Matuzalem ------ Brocchi --- ------------ Ledesma ------------ Kolarov -- Canini -- Dia -- Licht ------------ Muslera ------------- Subs: Dabo (Brocchi), Rocky (anyone), Meghni (DŽAgostino), Siv /Crib (Canini /Dia), Radu (Kolarov), Scaloni (Licht) Looks like a squad! The tipping point is DŽAgostino since Meghni canŽt play an entire season (or two games in a row for that matter) and Ledesma canŽt score. In my lineup Dia and Foggia are the weakpoints, Elissomething totally pointless, and Radu with a lot to prove.

He could easily be sold or loaned out in the next couple of days.
