Massive statement, followed by an obvious one by Ballardini... I couldnt imagine he'd trained better players at Sambenedettese, Cagliari, Pescara, or Palermo for that matter.

Thought the same myself but considering he worked in the youth ranks of Milan and Parma and trained the best young Italian talents out there, that may be a bigger statement than it seems...

Actually last night we saw the most selfless Zarate ever. He even tried a return ball to brocchi when he was clear one on one with the goalie, then attempted assists for Cruz, Mauri and Baronio, he was really the motor behing our win.

Maybe the best result of the night, we've conceded no goals (grande Muslera) and scored 3 x ... we're are almost there, but carefull next week if we don't show passion and will to battle on Swedish ground, because they will try to have a go at us.

I think Baronio played well , he have good vision for the field playing good long paases .

Great result.

Pretty much seals the deal with all respect.

It means, ballardini can leave a lot of first teamer's behind in Rome for the Chievo trip.

One goal will finish the tie in Boras.

Good to see Zarate off to a good start. Mauri looks rebron.

Baronio is certainly holding his own in midfield.

Ballardini will have every opportunity to try out different formations and give some players a rest and others a call up.

Zarate should be spared of the trip, Cruz and Rocchi can play up front, also try out Eliseu, give some playing time to Radu and Foggia, put Bizarri between the sticks, mix it up a bit. That 5-3-2 experiment was a misfire, keep it simple mister.

I'm more than confident that Elfsborg can't score 3 goals even in the wildest of scenarios. Sure they had some absentees but they were dominated through and through at the olimpico, and I consider Lazio as an experienced team that does not make amateurish mistakes.
