| Date, 4th of July, 2008 Zauri one step away from FiorentinaThe agreement between Lazio and Fiorentina was found last night basing the value of the player at 3.5 million euros. This was reported by Italian broadcast Sky. In order to close the deal, only the agreement between the now almost ex biancoceleste captain and Della Valles club is missing. Fiorentina are evaluating whether to include central defender Dario Dainelli in the operation, who apart from Lazio´s interest also appeals to Torino and GenoaSource : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. | Date, 4th of July, 2008 Fernandéz: Come and get meOk for Fernandéz. Lazio´s plans are improving. Augusto Matiàs Fernandèz from River Plate is one step away. Yesterday the FIGC gave the green light for Serie A clubs to have a second non EU player in the squad. Lazio can decide to use different options in order to take the Argentine midfielder. 1) Fernandèz obtains an Italian passport and automatically counts as an EU player (this way could also have worked out before FIGC new rules) 2) Ledesma obtains an Italian passport (most likely next week) and Fernandèz, in case he misses out on the double passport, could take the spot left by Ledesma. There are other options, but one of the two mentioned is most likely.
Lazio will wait for news from Argentina, because another scenario could open up. If both Fernandèz and Ledesma obtain double passports, then a non EU spot would be left open and give Lazio new options in the mercato. The first non EU spot is taken by Carrizo, who takes the spot from Tare (contract expired on 30th June) Lotito is hoping for this scenario and thus is waiting to move until it´s necessary in order to get hold of Fernandèz.
Fernandéz has sent all the necessary documents and within 10 days there could be reassuring news from the Italian Consolate that is dealing with the practice. The Argentine midfielder is dreaming of Lazio and has stated openly: "I hope the Italian Consolate releases the Italian passport in time and I expect an answer in the coming days." Fernandèz was blocked in the mercato by Lazio by former sports director Walter Sabatini and he is regarded as an important aquisition to Rossi´s squad. He would provide an instant substitute to the departing Valon Behrami and eventually he is seen as Mutarelli´s successor in the central midfieldSource : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. | Date, 5th of July, 2008 Lazio takes the attacker KozakThe 19 year-old czeck will be part of Rossi´s groupLazio in all secrecy, has concluded the operation aquiring Libor Kozak (czeck attacker, class 1989) yesterday afternoon. "We are preparing another signing, like that of Kolarov last year" Those words escaped Lotito´s mouth a few weeks ago, referring to a mysterious striker arriving from Eastern Europe. The kid seems very promising, but whether he will turn into a real transfer coup remains to be seen on the pitch. His records are encouraging though: In the czeck Serie B he scored 18 goals in 29 games, earning himself a spot with the Czeck u19 team, immediately performing as a protagonist scoring 3 times in 4 games. He is a huge giant, 1.93 metres tall. "His movements are a bit akward, but he plays like Luca Toni" so was Libor Kozak described as he entered the Formello sports center for the first time yesterday afternoon accompagnied by his agent and two of his relatives.
The negotiations were held in secret, but the player didn´t cost Lazio little money. 1.2 million Euros. Kozak has signed a 5 year contract with the biancoceleste club, who had followed him since last winter. He was born on the 30th of May, 1989, in Brumov Bilnice and was bought from Slezsky Opava F.C. The same team in which he has been playing for the past 7 years. His idol is Jan Koller, the 2 meter high striker from the Czeck National Team. In January, according to various Internet sites, he did a one week trial with the English club Portsmouth. In the next few days, Libor Kozak will meet up with David Rozehnal, whose contract was bought by Lazio. Kozak is now in Rome and during the week he will undergo the medical examinations. Delio Rossi will include him in the list of players that are going to the trainingcamp in Auronzo di Cadore.Source : www.corrieredellosport.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper LF-Team

| Date, 5th of July, 2008 Zaratès arrival: Embraces LazioI´m going to Lazio because it´s a great clubThe International Arrivals. There is Mauro Matiàs Zaratè, Lazio´s new argentine striker, the 27th argentine to dress the biancoceleste jersey. He got off in Rome this morning (the arrival was scheduled before dawn in the Fiumicino Airport) after having left Buenos Aires yesterday (12 o´clock local time) and today begins the new adventure with Lazio and Italian football. Zaratè arrived alone, and in Rome he met with his brother Sergio, who is also his manager. "El Raton" (nickname) has been in Italy to work everything out and from now on things will carry on step by step: From the settlement in the hotel to the signing of the contract, which will tie him to the biancoceleste club. After the arabian sheiks and the desert, Mauro Zaratè will today get to know President Lotito and the city of Rome.
He got himself a new haircut and he is really looking forward to dress the new biancoceleste jersey aswell. Mauro Zaratè, the 21 year old Argentine, bought by President Lotito to complete the attack, landed this morning in Rome with a flight from Buenos Aires and was immediately greeted by the Lazio fans, who dressed him with a few Lazio scarves: "I am happy to have arrived in Rome - the first words of the player - and I have chosen Lazio because it´s a great club. Now I am preparing myself for the trainingcamp". Zaraté , after having spent a few holidays, will be in the Padeia medical clinic on monday morning to undergo the medical examinations and afterwards he will go to Formello where he will be introduced to the press and the fans.
For Zaratè speaks the great compilation of goals he has scored, especially those in Argentina. Mauro Matiàs Zaratè may have got extraordinary abilities. Serie A will be the real exam and proove to be decisive for a young promising player like him. His talent must be confirmed. Let´s hope he astonishes everyone Source : www.corrieredellosprt.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 5th of July, 2008 Zauri-Fiorentina, Dainelli-LazioThe deal is very close, with the two clubs having already reached an agreement. Before closing it, however, Fiorentina has to find another central defender (the target is Burdisso). Dainelli would arrive instead of the Romenian Moti, optioned by the biancocelesti. At this regard, however, Lazio could obtain another option on the player, for the next year.
On the right track too appear to be the negotiation with Udinese for the Pinzi-Stendardo swap; Lazio and Udinese met yesterday, but another meeting will be necessary. Moreover, Lotito has signed the young Czech talent Libor Kozak, 19 years striker of Opava. Simone Inzaghi and Tare seem both very likely to leave. On the other hand, the transfer of Boselli is experiencing some difficulties: the striker has offers from Argentinian clubs and he seems to prefer playing in his country.Source: www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslation by Conn - LF-Team

| Date, 5th of July, 2008 Daniele Greco to SorrentoThe young midfielder Daniele Greco, 20 years (generation 1989), former captain of Lazio´s Primavera team, plays next season with Sorrento. Greco has already played in the stadiums in Serie C1 last season when he was loaned out to Gallipoli and Sassuolo and it is infact the ex sporting director of Gallipoli, Danilo Pagni, now in Sorrento, who brought the midfielder to the Campania club in a co-ownership deal.Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. | Date, 5th of July, 2008 The Tranfermarket : Pinzi - Stendardo, it could beLazio has aquired Libor Kozak (1989), who is considered a new star of Czeck Rebuplic football. The under19 National player will take part in the forthcoming Euro, where the Czecks are in the same group as Italy. He has been bought from the second division outfit Slezsky Opava F.C and costed Lazio close to a million Euro. A difficullt operation considering the competition from important European clubs.
Today Mauro Matiàs Zaratè arrived in Rome. He will undergo medical examinations on monday morning in the Padeia clinic. Also on monday, Juan Pablo Carrizo´s arrival has been announced. Now the attack is completed (with the signings of Zaratè and Kozak) and Lazio is now trying to shore up the midfield, that has lost Valon Behrami, with a couple of important signings. On one front the Argentine road is being taken again, since Lazio is waiting for Augusto Fernandèz from River, while on another front two Italians are being tracked: The first is Pazienza from Napoli, the second is Pinzi from Udinese. The club from Friuli are expected to put the midfielder on the market following a disappointing last season, but they are also evaluating the inquiries from Bologna and Sampdoria. After having offered Zauri, Mutarelli, Baronio, Inzaghi, Lotito has now proposed the exchange with Stendardo, who has returned from a loan spell at Juventus, but is not wanted in the new squad by Rossi.
The Lazio player is of interest to Udinese, because they are searching for a defender in order to complete their backline. An operation which could take form if Lotito doesn´t value Stendardo with too high figures and the defender is willing to accept the destination. The Stendardo case represents a real problem for Lazio: Juventus did want to confirm the defender in exchange for Almiròn, but the bianconero player did not enter in the plans of the coach and the negotiations have therefore stranded. In this moment President Lotito, without a sporting director, is forced to move on the market all by himself. A situation that complicates everything.
New contact with Fiorentina for the transfer of Luciano Zauri. The ex captain is also of interest to Napoli, who have Domizzi to insert in the negotiations, an eclectic defender who would complete the defence, but Fiorentina remains closer to the valuation that Lazio have put on the player. The Viola club therefore appears to have an advantage and could complete the transfer already next week. Monday Bonetto will come back from his loan spell with Bologna, with whom he promoted to Serie A, and soon he could sign with Livorno.
Yesterday at Villa San Sebastiano, President Lotito has met with Gianluca Petrachi, who could become the new Sporting Director of the Biancoceleste, taking the spot left by Sabatini.Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 6th of July, 2008 Lazio : It´s time to sellLazio don´t stop: After the aquisitions of Zaratè and Kozak, the biancoceleste are now following the turkish midfielder Kazim. But for the club, it´s also time to sell: President Lotito, still without a Sporting Director, is looking in any way possible to reduce the personnel available to Delio RossiThe team is departing for Auronzo di Cadore on next Saturday: From this date, the coach doesn´t want to have more than 23-24 players and a few youngsters from the Primavera at his disposal. At the end of the week, for the umpteenth time, contact has been made with Udinese for the arrival of Pinzi. The friuli club want Stendardo, who nonetheless doesn´t seem intended to accept the bianconera team. The central defender also has other offers: There is Napoli knocking at the door: Exchange with Domizzi
On the list of leaving players is also Mutarelli: The conversation between his agent Marronaro and Lotito hasn´t unblocked the situation. The affair taking Zauri to Fiorentina is complicating. The Viola fans are contesting the arrival of the biancoceleste defender, guilty in 2005 of making a save on the goalline with his hand on the second last matchday: It was a battle of salvation and in the end both teams saved themselves. Lazio demand money, Fiorentina wants to offer a player in exchange: Dainelli
If the deal proposed by Fiorentina will go through, the one who most probably will pay the price is the romanian Cosmin Moti, who Lotito has blocked already two weeks ago in the blitz in Bucarest Source : www.iltempo.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 6th of July, 2008 West Ham: 11 million offer for BehramiAccording to News of the World, the English want to close the deal during the weekNine million pounds, a little more than 11 million Euros. There are many offers, but according to the English daily News of the World, the latest offer has come from West Ham in order to secure the performances of Valon Behrami. The right winger, ex midfielder of Lazio, is free since the 30th of June using the article 17 of the FIFA regulation, but it doesn´t seem likely that the English will take advantage of the situation and take the player away from the biancoceleste at a settled price. The Hammers (and ex Brescia) Sporting Director Gianluca Nani hope to close the affair already during the week. | Date, 6th of July, 2008 Transfermarket: Lazio: Mendy for the right sideAnother turn in Lazio´s mercato. It´s about a new name for the right side. Delio Rossi´s plans are slowly being revealed, and it seems as if has decided to try the three man defence. This requires strong wide players, accustomed to cover the entire side of the pitch. He is not the only candidate, but he remains an option to cover the spot together with De Silvestri , because the latter will miss out on the preseason in order to participate in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Lotito is thinking of Bernard Mendy, turning 27 on the 20th of August, French and of Senegalese origin. His contract expired on the 30th of June. Therefore he can come as a free agent. He comes from Paris Saint Germain, where he has played two years next to Rozehnal: 23 games during last season, 187 games in total and 2 goals in seven seasons in Ligue 1 for the parisians. He is thought of as a good player.
He combines his speed and presice cross very well. His career began in 98/99 at Caen, second division French side. In 2000 he transferred to PSG, where he has played until the end of May, with only one interruption: In 2002/03 he tried an adventure in the English Premiership with Bolton Wanderers. Immediately he returned to France.
Mendy has been thought of by Fiorentina, who then decided to take Comotto from Torino, but he is also of interest to Sampdoria. In the Premiership, Fulham is moving for him. Mendy would prefer the Italian championship and Lazio will take a decision in the coming days. The French player is not the only candidate, but one of the first on the list examined by Rossi: Nico Pulzetti from Livorno is a player whose name has already emerged. Other than him Lotito has difficulties opening negotiations with Brescia for Zambelli. Corioni´s valuation of the player is very high, approximately 10 million Euros. That would be dealing for a player, who is too important to be considered a reserve for De Silvestri at Lazio. Last autumn Marcolin and Mancini were talking about bringing the player to Inter.
Mendy as a free agent could proove to be a better operation than that of Scaloni last year, who since then has ended up in Mallorca. They have different characteristics and Mendy is much more like De Silvestri. And on the left side ? In case of the three man defence, Lazio will push for the explosion of Aleksandar Kolarov, who until the 25th of July will work in Auronzo di Cadore, after that he flies to China with the Serbian Olympic team trained by Djukic. During the European Championship, the name of the romanian Rat came out. In reality Rossi, as a substitute, will rely on the tactical versatility of Christian Manfredini, who is originally a left winger in a 4-4-2 system. "Six months ago I had the chance to move on, but I wanted to stay in order to win something. Now if I must leave, I will feel calm, because I go as a champion. Lazio ?? We´ll see, if I feel like going, I will go together with persons I am attached to, like Carrizo. There are also other argentinians, which is good. The EU passport ? Tinti: "Lotito is a strange president"
The deal beetween Reggina and Lazio regarding striker Nicola Amoruso is set to be stranded, according to the players agent Tullio Tinti. "Lotito is a strange president: the problem for sure isn't Amoruso, but him", he told Mediaset Premium live on a telephone link.
"Nicola will surely go to an important squad. Sampdoria? With Cassano he would form a great couple. With Lazio the deal has faded away, considering that he (Lotito) found an agreement with Reggina but then gave the player a very low offer."

| Date, 7th July, 2008 Lazio-Parma : On track, Mutarelli - DessenaFundamental week for Parma´s transfermarket. The first problem to solve is Luca Cigarini´s destination. The skillful midfielder from Montecchio, at the moment in trainingcamp with Casiraghi´s Olympic National team, has expressed his doubts over the transfer to Atalanta.
Moreover, there are several other gialloblu players being tracked by other teams, more than anyone Daniele Dessena. The option of going to Russia has vanished, and instead Sampdoria, Lazio and Napoli are on track of the midfielder. It takes 9 million Euro to take him away, but his situation is also tied to that of Luca Cigarini: it could be counterproductive to loose both jewels.
In order to make up for the possible loss, Parma are looking at available midfielders on the transfermarket: They like Fabio Caserta from Palermo and Massimo Mutarelli from Lazio. Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper LF-Team

After the number 1 has been kept waiting for more than a year and was continously postponed in being able to wear the biancoceleste jersey, he has now come from Buenos Aires via Madrid with an Iberia flight and got off in Fiumicino Airport at 9.20. "I am proud to finally be able to wear Lazio´s jersey and I would like to thank all the fans, who have awaited me for a year." these are the first words from the goalkeeper, who at his arrival wore a black t-shirt and black pants.Source : www.ansa.itTranslated by Sgt. | Date, 7th July, 2008 Direct : The presentation of CarrizoLaziofever´s friends and our former home, Piazza della Libertá, had the chance to be present at the press conference presenting the new goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo.President Lotito introduces, with a bit of controversy, the presentation of the goalkeeper. "This morning Carrizo was picked up in the airport by Manzini and he has not released any interviews. I have to say with regret, that some people think they are clever, but they are not". It seems as if the Presidents phrase was intended to deny a tv interview (which many journalists had tried to get already in the airport).
The preliminary introduction then proceeded like this: "Carrizo is now here to reveal why he has chosen Lazio. I don´t want to say much more, because today is his moment". A moment of silence, then Lotito carries on and underlines: "We have gotten an argentine intepreter and she is also a Lazio fan, this in order to avoid that what the player is saying could be misinterpreted" In reality though, the biggest difficulty was to try and understand what the intepreter was saying.
It´s finally Carrizo´s moment and he started off like this:
"I would like to thank all those who have waited for me to be here. Thanks to The President for bringing me to Lazio. Now I want to do my best. I am so happy"
Then began the questions from the journalists:
Would you like to say something in Italian for a start ? "I would like to thank all the fans who have waited so long". Then he adds in Spanish: "I am happy and proud to be part of this team and I hope to live up to the great goalkeepers of the past"
What do you know of Peruzzi? "An important champion, who has won a lot. It´s an honour to be approached by him"
Then he talks about Boca-River "When I was a child, I dreamt about playing the derby Boca-River. Now I´m here and I want to win the derby against Roma"
A question about his habbit of dribbling the attackers "It´s not my speciality in any way, but I do it because it makes me different from the other goalkeepers"
Has Simeone told you anything about Lazio? "He has told me about the Derby. And he told me it is a beautiful city and that I for sure would feel well here"
Are you happy that you have many compatriots in the team ?? "Very happy. It will be easier in the beginning"
Why have you chosen la Lazio? "I have always liked them, there have been a lot of important Argentine players"
By who are you inspired? Do you have a goalkeeper that you look up to? "I don´t have a role model in particular. I try to learn from everyone. But I do like Julio Cesar and Buffon"
Do you know the coach and the way Lazio are playing? "I like the scheme, now it´s up to me to adapt to the way of playing"
Have you saved many penalties? is that one of your skills? "Luck, I would say more than anything, it´s luck"
Is there an Argentine player from Lazio´s past, with whom you are especially connected? "Veròn and Simeone. Especially Veròn, because I have shared the emotions of playing in the National Team with him"
In some situations, we have seen you go forward when there is a corner "It´s a choice I make in some situations, when there is little time left and we need to score a goal"
How much have you been disappointed from last years waiting? I had come to Italy in order to remain here, but I had to go back to Argentina, in spite of Lazio doing everything they could in order to keep me here. The passport just wasn´t ready. Their interest remained the same though. I went back to River, which is my home and I had the luck to win the championship and to dream about my challenge with Lazio"
Do you think Lazio can help you to become a regular in the National team? "I must train with commitment and then find the right continuity, then for sure the coach of Argentina will appreciate that"
Which of the forwards are the most dangerous in Italy? "I don´t remember the names, but surely I have to train a lot to be on the same level as the Italian forwards"
How is Zaratè? "He is fast. Very fast. I hope at Lazio he will bring out his very best"
How have you lived this year? "I have felt bad, but I have played with River, knowing that Lazio was always interested in me"
What are your objectives? "I don´t have any personal objectives, the team always comes before anything. We have to be united"
Do you remember any games of Lazio from last season? Did you see the derby? "Yes, Roma were strong and the fact that Lazio were still able to stop them was a great pleasure to me"
Do you have anything to say about Fernandèz, your teammate from River. Who is he similar to? "Camoranesi. A player able to play on the side with great technics. We are waiting for his passport, then I hope he will arrive too"
Are you ready for the derby Argentina-Brazil now that you are in Rome? "Of course, it´s an added pleasure, there is also a jersey to defend and everyone wants to do their maximum for the squad."
Is there a player from Lazio that you have seen in TV and you have waited to get to know? "Mutarelli, Rocchi, Zauri"
Last year Lazio were waiting for you to play in the Champions League. Can you head for the 4th spot this year? "I have not had the posibillity to play with Lazio in the Champions League, but I hope to qualify this year and play in the Cup"

| Date, 8th of July, 2008 Behrami´s agent: West Ham? Not true"A pure invention" comment by the agent Alessandro Beltrami when weighing up the speculation of Behrami moving to West Ham: "The player´s desire is to play in the Bundesliga, therefore England is not a priority. No meetings are scheduled, but we have received offers from Germany, Spain and England."
Lazio have also been put on hold by the romanian Moti, who said: "After the holidays, I want to think exclusively on Dinamo. I can´t say if the move to Lazio would have been a good or a bad one, but I don´t want to think more about Lazio".
The sale of Bonetto to Livorno is close. The same goes for that of Zauri: Napoli is trying to get past Fiorentina. Mutarelli has been called for Lazio´s trainingcamp and he might stay. Meanwhile, Cagliaris President Cellino talks about the motives behind Foggia´s farewell: "He asked me to be allowed to move on. At Cagliari he didn´t make a good life, risking to be insulted on the street also in moments when the team was doing well. Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper LF-Team

| Date, 8th July, 2008 Domizzi´s agent: Lazio are thereThe Domizzi affair is drawing attention from the Neapolitan public. Personal reasons are pushing Napoli´s strong central defender towards other places, but the many voices still haven´t turned into concrete facts. To the microphones of calciomercato.com, Danilo Caravello, Domizzi´s agent, tries to clarify things: "Marotta has said that Domizzi doesn´t interest him? It doesn´t astonish me, they have sold him definitively last year, it´s normal. Fiorentina? There were never any contacts, those are voices I can´t confirm"
Dr Caravello, for months we have talked about Genoa, but the Grifoni have bought many leftsided defenders, does that worry you?
"It´s been a long time and things have stetched out, also because these are important negotiations. It´s true that Genoa have arranged the left side of their defence with Criscito, Bocchetti and Modesto, but Maurizio can also play as the leader of the defence in a central position. Therefore Genoa remains an option, just like Lazio and Torino".
The negotiations with Lazio seem complicated and could involve Zauri, Stendardo and Pazienza, is that achievable?
"Stendardo and Zauri could be useful to Napoli, but the valuation of those players lie with the club. Maurizio is raised at Lazio´s youth sector, and I believe the Lazio fans would accept him with pleasure. Roma ? At this time we would approve, it´s impossible to say No to a club of that level, he is a professional."
Domizzi has been close also to Parma. Wouldn´t that be a move downhill?
"Napoli and Parma have talked about many things, some of the gialloblu players are for many reasons of interest to Marino. We have taken the idea of Parma into consideration, because it´s an important place, which could re enter the fine establishment, since they have important ressources"
Coming from a remarkable season, it´s strange that he didn´t get any offers from abroad.
"That also amazes me, but in reality there were a few contacts, but we have always felt priviliged by the Italian offers. I expect this whole thing to end within the next two weeks!Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 8th of July, 2008. Pinzi´s agent: Lazio? It´s possibleGiampiero Pinzi is one of the most valuable assets at Udinese. The midfielder is being tried by a various selection of clubs, Lazio and Bologna more than anyone. To clarify his situation, his agent Danilo Caravello talks: "Lazio and Bologna? It´s two options that the leaders of the clubs are negotiating, but I would like to add that also Sampdoria are interested, since they are in need of a midfielder. In any case, after eight years his desire is to try a new experience. There is also to say, that he has a contract until the end of 2012 and at times contracts should also be respected. But if the conditions are right, then Udinese wouldn´t have a problem with letting him go. The club has always been well organised, operates great in the market and know what they want. They have just taken Tissone and I believe they feel assured that he is a good player for the midfield".
The exchange Stendardo-Pinzi with Lazio is tempting, but there could be questions tied to the salary of the two players in question. "The salaries could be an obstacle, but if there is the right will from everybody, it´s an obstacle that could be overcome. First the clubs need to find the agreement, then we´ll confront these details later on. However, I believe Pinzi´s salary would fit in Lazio´s point of view. For Stendardo, I can´t answer since he is not my client."Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 8th July, 2008 Lotito: Fernandèz ? We are working on itCarrizo talked about it, Lotito confirmed it. Perhaps like never before in the market, Lazio are very open and revealing about a transfer objective: "Fernandèz ? We are working on it" admitted the biancoceleste President to the microphones of RAI. River Plate´s number 8, who Carrizo has compared to Camoranesi, was blocked by the ex Sports Director Sabatini during the recent mission in Buenos Aires. He costs approximately 6 million Euro. Lotito is in a hurry and wants to close quickly a deal on which he has been working for a long time, but fears also to burn himself like in the past. And then, about the appliance of the Italian passport, which has been required by the Argentine midfielder, Lotito said: "We are following it, but we have waited now for a month and a half for the communitarian passport, and this time with the Carrizo experience in memory, we don´t want to rely on the Italian and Argentina bureaucracy" Putting such trust seem little encouraging In reality though, there might be another way. In few days Cristian Ledesma is confident of obtaining the Italian passport because of his marriage (he has been married for four years with a girl from Lecce) His practise will be dealt with by the Internal Ministery and this operation would allow Lazio to take Fernandèz immediately as a non Eu player.
Meanwhile, Lotito is working on other operations. For tomorrow a meeting has been scheduled with Gaetano Fedele, who is Stendardos agent. It´s fundamental to find out the destiny of the neapolitan defender, who is on his way out of Lazio. Stendardo is close to Udinese. The idea of an exchange with Giampiero Pinzi is moving forward. The negotiations of this deal were outlined last friday when Udinese Sports Director Leonardi met Lotito in Formello. Stendardo has ambitions of returning to Napoli, the club he grew up with but was separated already as a 20 year old when he was sold to Sampdoria. But Udinese is the club which up until now have manifested the more concrete interest. Leonardi has telefoned the defender who is fully owned by Lazio: They are working on finding a solution that is within the right financial parametres. But also Marino (Sports Director of Napoli) is pushing. He has talked to his coach who is demanding a reinforcement in the defence.
If Stendardo goes to Udinese, Giampiero Pinzi would complete the midfield at Lazio. He has been raised by the biancoceleste youth sector and for a long time he has been dreaming of returning to Lazio. Lotito is playing with the cards, if it depends only on him, Rozehnal would already have been confirmed. With Cribari, Siviglia and Radu that would be four central defenders and stop., although Diakitè would be considered reserve. In case the Czeck defender leaves (Rozehnal has great offers from abroad) they could take alternatives in consideration. A race between two: Domizzi from Napoli, Dainelli from Fiorentina. Both are liked by Delio Rossi and the key to such deals is represented by Zauri. Lotito is trying to sell him only for money though. The ex player of Atalanta is close to Fiorentina, where he would be reunited with Prandelli. Also Napoli is informed.Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team

| Date, 8th July, 2008 Zaratè: Danger PortsmouthLike expected by piazzadellaliberta.it a few days ago, the English team that was on track of Mauro Zaratè was Portsmouth. The club of ex interista Kanu, have thrown themselves in an unfair way into the negotiations for the Argentine, creating some problems for Lazio. According to indiscretions, it seems that this danger didn't cease yet. The biancoceleste club is said to remain calm, feeling safe by having the pre contract initially agreed with Al Saad, the team that owns Zaratès contract. Developments are expected in the coming hours.Source : www.piazzadellaliberta.itTranslated by Sgt. Pepper - LF-Team | |
