Transfermarket Lazio: Everything set in for Fernandèz

Lazio, a decisive time for Augusto Fernandèz. The River Plate midfielder is one step away from the Biancoceleste team. Lazio are only waiting for the player´s community passport, which should arrive at the end of this week.

The enquiry for the passport opened up in the last weeks and has slowed down the bureaucratic machine, but people around the player assure that within a few days, he will get the community passport. Lotito´s club have blocked the player, even if also other clubs have moved for him. Primarily PSV Eindhoven, ready to throw themselves in the negotiations for the midfileder from the Millionarios. The Dutch club have found the road blocked: once again Lazio have managed to move first for the target.

Augusto Fernandèz is the ideal midfielder for Delio Rossi, who has had the chance to see the displays of the midfielder during last season´s Clausura won by Simeone´s River Plate. Also yesterday, across the pages of the Argentine daily Olè, the player has repeated his will to dress the Biancoceleste jersey. A few details are missing, but the Biancoceleste directors practically have Fernandèz contract in their hands: 6,5 million Euro, the cost of the operation. The player has spend all his career since his youth at River Plate.

During last season he became one of the idols at the Monumental. He prefers to play as the right sided player in a three man midfield, but at occasions he also adpats well playing wide on the wing. He is dynamic, fast, equipped with great technics and he knows how to insert himself in the play, and thanks to his speed he often finds himself in a position to shoot.

Transfermarket Lazio: In arrival also Fernandèz

A few days are missing and Augusto Matiàs Fernandèz, the number 8 from River Plate, might become a Lazio player. The player believes and counts on obtaining his passport from the Italian consulate in Rosario very soon, only to catch up with Carrizo at Lazio, like it has been promised for months. The Argentine midfielder, 22 years old, has officially confessed his immense divorce from River Plate to the Argentine daily Olè: "I have taken this decision with my head, not with my heart. Otherwise I would have stayed. I am curious to know what my future will be like in Italy. I am very sorry to leave River. But I have taken an important decision in order to become a great player". Talking about his future in Italy, the young Argentine means Lazio, the team that is ready to take him over as soon as his passport issue is solved.

Guana - Other than Fernandèz, Lotito is also working on the Italian market in order to find the midfielder, who Rossi is missing. Roberto Guana, ex Ascoli and Brescia, put on the market by Palermo. He is leading the race ahead of Pinzi from Udinese. Everything will be more clear once Mutarelli knows his destiny, which could be far from Rome. Torino and Sampdoria the most likely destinations.

Ledesma - while Pandev has left reassuring signals about the renewal of his contract, the tensions remain with regards to Ledesma. His agent Vincenzo D´Ippolito was freezing cold also yesterday: "Ledesma and Lotito only saluted eachother. They did not talk about the renewal of the contract, it´s not likely that the situation will change, because as it has already been announced, the player no longer has intensions to sit down around the table to discuss a renewal, both because of his pride as a person and also because of economical reasons".

Christian Brocchi to Lazio

Claudio Lotito and Adriano Galliani has completed the negotiations over midfielder Christian Brocchi's move to Lazio. The deal is yet to be announced as official by both clubs, but the players agent Davide Lippi confirms that Brocchi is a Lazio-player.

The player has according to Roman newspapers signed a three year contract with an opening salery of € 900.000 a year. To Milan only a smaller amount will be transferred, as Brocchi's contract in Milano was set to expire 2009. The 32-year old will be avaliable for Delio Rossi already on sunday in the serie A opening game against Cagliari.

In other transfer news, Lazio has sent Alberto Quadri on loan to Monza.

Last minute transfers

Lazio has on the last day of the mercato shipped away defender Guglielmo Stendardo to Lecce, while midfielder Roberto Baronio signed for Brescia. Both are loan-deals for one year.

Lazio : Matuzalem - Carrizo tomorrow it's official

Lazio look set to close the deal with Real Zaragoza. Matuzalem to Lazio with Carrizo going on a one year loan to Spain. For Matuzalem, Lotito has agreed the price of 6m to be paid in installments, starting with a 2m payment. The player has taken a pay cut of 800k simply to sign with Lazio and should put pen to paper on a 3 year deal. The deal also includes a sell on fee of 15%
Carrizo will move to Zaragoza on a one year loan with an option to buy of 12m. The deal is set to be made official tomorrow.

Carrizo-Matuzalem, the deal is done.

After days of negotiations the deal is done for Matuzalem to join Lazio with Carrizo going to Real Zaragoza.

The figure to bring Matuzalem to Lazio is 6m Euros, to be paid in installments with a 3 year contract being done. Carrizo moves on loan to Zaragoza for 1 year with buy-out option of 12m Euros.

Matuzalem will join the team on Saturday at Auronzo.

Fiorentina and Genoa wnat De Silvestri

Lazio and Fiorentina are close to agreeing a swap for De Silvestri. The offer was 3-4m plus Dainelli. Lotito is extremely interested in Dainelli but wants more money, around 6m which is too much for Fiorentina. In the next few days they will meet again.
Genoa have renewed their interest in De Silvestri also, with 8m and one of either Biava or Bocchetti being tabled.
