don't like this. Financially we can't compete with Man City or Arsenal, BUT if we give Nando what he wants now, and give him a long contract, he will sign.

We can't afford to lose him, especially after the struggle we went through to even find a good enough replacement for Peruzzi. And now Nando has become an idol.

If he wants to become one of our top earners, make him one. This better not become the "new Ledesma situation".

A very good goalie is priceless, it's the backbone of the defense, and can decide games on his own... so Lotito break open that piggy bank !

As far as I'm concerned, Muslera and Zarate are our only two can't lose players

Uruguay seem to produce really good goalkeepers. Castillo performed very well quite impressive, having Muslera as his sub makes them very well covered in that position. I just wonder why they won't get alot of positive results. Being 7th in the qualifiers to the WC is certainly an underachievment.

Muslera was great again against Juventus, while Carrizo´s Zaragoza lost 4-1 against Sevilla. Carrizo didnt make massive mistakes, but have noticed that our defence play much better with Muslera than Carrizo. With good GK our defence is also playing witn more confidence.

I heard rumours he has prolonged, or started negotiating a new contract, with Lazio. Any truth to this?

His agent Fonseca is in Roma discussing it with Lotito. Hopefully Lotito has learnt that these negotiations have to be dealt with early...

Did anyone see Ecuador-Uruguay. Our keeper was in the starting eleven. Goal.com shows him top of the match and also flop of the match??? I hope he did well and will get another chance.

I hope Nestor shines today and Uruguay wins. It would be a massive achievement for Nestor and a not so great surprise to see Argentina fail to qualify. Suits them right for having a tremendous set of individuals and an awful team & coach.
