absolutely matias delgado is great, he can be wonderful replacement for ledesma, i love him, he is really profecional player, with great technique & good playmaker but u think we can have him with lower than 10mil?

spot on, excellent midfielder but I would guess more a back up in case Fernandez fails rather than a Ledesma back up/replacement.

I have seen this guy play and I like him. Always heard good things about him as well. I think he would be more than a descent signing for Lazio if reports are correct. Nothing special but he is solid and very reliable from what I remember and he has good European experience too having played in the UCL and the UC too. He is a key player for Sporting Lisbon and I think has some Portuguese caps to his name so he would be a good capture I believe.

The current centre backs Lazio has (Siviglia, Cribari, Rozehnal and young Diakite) are good and reliable but as the season progresses surely another centre back will need to be brought in and if Lotito can get this guy for a fair price I would be very happy. The Italian league is a step up from the Portuguese, with all respect, but I believe he is a player who can adapt reasonably fast and be a good, quality signing. In fact I remember when watching him against Inter (I think!?) in the UCL a season or 2 ago, he had a very good match, scoring a goal and being rock solid in defence breaking up their attacks, and I thought this guy is a good player - it would be awesome if Lazio got him!

we have already 4 cb. they aren't bad at all.
if diakite moves on loan there would be an opportunity for the portuguese.
but please consider that:
1. we have to solve stendardo situation (he's on loan with a high wage)
2. the club wants to launch the talented tuia, a very reliable young player.
3. siviglia has another year contract (expiring june 2010 when he'll be 37.)

Tonel is quite a good player, but I don't think we will take him .. Maybe next summer we will need a new CB, because Siviglia will be too old by then, but we have some young talents like Diakite and Tuia which deserve to have a chance to show what they can do.

It's not a rumor or anything, but I was wondering about Nesta. I keep hearing about Cannavro's come back to Napoli but I never heard anything about Nesta. It doesn't sound like the guy wants to come back and end his career with Lazio and I find that to be crazy... Did he ever say anything?

I don't know what you guys are thinking,but my opinion is that if someone is a real laziale he's mind is always on Lazio,whatever happened.I didn't heard at least once Nesta saying that he wants to return to us,or that he wants to help us,especially now when we have problems in the defence.And if things remain like this,I don't want ever to see him at Lazio.We don't need people who are only laziale when things are going in the right way,when we are in top.He's blinded by money!

Don't know much about Stephane Grichting but I really like that it seems Lotito/Rossi realized we need a central defender.

I read before (when there was rumour that he could come back) that he said he want to end his career at Milan...

Napoli have no debts and they are backed by a multimillionaire film producer Aurelio De Laurentiis. They went down to Serie C, and lost their name and stemma for a while, but in doing so wiped their debts clean.

Lazio in contrast don't have the same cash.

Seeing Nesta return to Formello would be a dream, maybe with all his injuies we might get him cheap?
