Every year I say to myself that this year is going to be the year when I won't be reading the transfer rumours regarding Lazio and each year I go back on my word. This year no exception.

It's funny how it always starts off well and you get your hopes up by reading for example the name Palacio and day by day it comes down to Tare and Artipoli.

My question is why would we need both Amoruso and Tare. They are both similar players and of similar age - 34 and 36. Why not keep Tare or get Amoruso and in stead of an older player we get Merini back or Mendicino.

We desperately need to thin down the squad. As Delio himself said about Inzaghi - he has no motivation whatsoever and the coach doesn't want him in the team. We just need to find a team foolish wnough to pay him the 900 000 euro he still has left on his contract. And what's up with Quadri??? We got him from Inter and what did we get out him so far? Absolutely nothing. This must be the year we get rid of Manfre and Baronio. Seeing as we only play in two competitions a 25 player squad is more than enough.

What's with the whole Sabatini situation. He resigned (again) and Lotito is trying to make him change his mind (again!). If Sabatini feels he has done all he can for this club he should leave as soon as his contract expires (30th of June). A new director of sport should be installed ASAP. My dream would be Leonardi of Udinese. The guy is a Laziale and has been doing one hell of a job at Udine the last couple of years. He has an eye for young and really talented players.

Another thing. Lotito recently said that Rossi is eager to get back to the 4-4-2. How the hell does he plan on doing that when we don't have any wingers? OK Meghni could play there but it's impossible to put trust in Meghni as the guy is never fully fit. We've seen Mauri play on the left over the years but he hasn't got the speed and he's not a real winger. On the right we could use Behrami if we had him but we don't. Foggia can play on the wing but he will be either bought by Cagliari or used in various exchange deals. If we seriously plan on switching to 4-4-2 Lotito needs to bring in three wingers. One option could be Fernandez (River Plate) on the right or Menez (Monaco) on the left wing.

Can anyone explain to me why is Mutarelli being put on the transfer list? He has always performed well, given 100% for the team and he wants to stay. I would sell either Muta or Gaby only if we are able to get Marchisio (Juve).

I understand Domizzi is still our top target. He grew up in the Lazio youth system but I remember an interview with his agent from a while ago and here it is:

Basically it says that although Domizzi is from Rome and grew up in the Lazio youth system but he has always been a riomanista. We should bare in mind that this was said by his agent at the time Rioma wanted to buy him but still, if he ever signs for Lazio, these kinds of stuff will not be helping him.

Personally, i embrace our recent links to River Plate, we've had a run of great players from Argentina. Maybe that's what our current squad needs, follow history and look at promising South Americans.

And I don't mean the likes of Esteban Gonzalez, Brian Robert, Mea Vitali, etc...

After watching the Euros, something tells me we will be linked to Garics tomorrow morning.

Would be a suitable replacement for Behrami, don't you think?

Anyway, I think Russotto is definitely a target. If you ask me, the targets are certainly Domizzi and Russotto for now

Why do you guys give up to rumours , of course it is hard when you have big expectations , but its good as well to be familiar with the "words on the streets" Personally I have expectation too , but I am trying also to avoid exciting or unhappy moods about our mercato. There is a lot of time in front of us and many deals will be cleared at the end.....

Now short review of Piazzadellaliberta articles : We have interests of Romanian central defender Goian from Steaua Bucharest.
Delio Rossi could change our formation to 3-4-3.
There are still hopes about Palacio.....

And something from Bulgarian press , which i think is a BIG JOKE , but Id like to mention it : Lazio is after bulgarian young striker Valeri Domovchiiski (Hertha Berlin) who could be probable replacement of Pandev , if he doesn't renew his contract. Lazio is giving 3 million euro for the promising Bulgarian hope.

where did you read that about Valeri ?

In Romania they say Radu is going back to Dinamo. At this point, it seems that Dinamo has more money than us and they want him back, while we cannot afford the transfer fee and we try to negociate a lower one.
