Zambrella? Is he a swiss guy, was a youth player at Juve?

I will always respect Inzaghi for his part in the Scudetto and all our modern successes, he stuck by Lazio through thick and thicker, great player in his day, finished now, but would love to see him remain at the club...just not as a player.

Zambrella is a striker as far as I know...he is 22, so I would welcome him...

Hmm..even Palermo is consider to be a "big" team now.. at least when it comes to Lazio.

Lazio are ready to make a shock transfer bid for Boca Juniors superstar Juan Roman Riquelme, according to Leggo.



The Biancocelesti are trying to rebuild their team ahead of next season following a hugely disappointing 2007/08 campaign where they finished in 12th place in Serie A, and failed to qualify for Europe.

Under-fire Lazio Presdient Claudio Lotito is trying to build the club’s future on South Americans, and with Cristian Ledesma already present, goalkeeper Juan Carrizo will soon complete his long drawn out move from River Plate.

The Romans are also currently trying to sign Boca Juniors forward Rodrigo Palacio, who they have tabled an $18m bid for. Tomorrow the Italians should find out if they have been successful with their offer.

However Leggo says that Lazio are now also ready to make their move for Palacio’s Boca team-mate Juan Roman Riquelme.

The 30-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best playmakers in world football, and he returned to Argentina late last year after being frozen out of his former club Villarreal.

Were Lazio able to snap up Riquelme it would be a stunning acquisition, however the player is well known to be deeply tied to the Boca jersey, which could make any possible transfer difficult.

It will not happen...same as Palacio...these guys can get 2-3 millions per year anywhere else...we are looking for players within 500-700K range...Amoruso & co...

Riquelme is a dream acquisition, I rate him as the player whose vision is equal to none but sadly I don't see it happening at all. There is no reason why Lotito would offer big money for anyone.

We are buying Riquelme from last summer Perhaps next mercato we will pursue him again

I'd love it to happen, but it won't. Everyone should just hope for a Pinzi.

We didn't go for him when he's free, I don't see why we after him now, it just doesn't make sense..

Latest news are that we offer Mutarelli for Amoruso. That's better then money.
Mutarelli was a first team player, but now we have Ledesma and Dabo + Mudingayi, Firmani and Baronio covering his area, so better let him go...Plus I see it as a sign that Rossi wants to change back to 4-4-2 next season (Foggia would be great in this case).

He was only in the squad,but in my opinion he's not for Lazio.In this case I choose Radu for the CB position.

I disagree, Moti is a good player who can learn italian football very good...see other cases of romanian defenders...Chivu, Radu....all of them with the same style/stature...
He is 24, he will start as substitute and then in 1-2 years he can become a first team choice...
In the worst case we will pay now 3-4 millions and in 2-3 years Milan, Inter or Juve will pay for the guy 10...

As for Riquelme, I will not believe it until it happens...I have just one question: Why the hell would he choose Lazio when half of Europe wants him??? It's like u say we will sign Adebayor after we know that Milan and Barca are fighting for him...
