I agree with drazvan about those romanian players.. since i heard that Lotito asked Rat, Mitea, Marica, Moti and others from here (at least some rummors in newspapers appeard about them).. i would go for Costea, Sapunaru (he was on the bench in euro and Bergodi..our former captain..said not so long ago that he would be a good add for Lazio), Tamas or Goian (for our central defense). They don`t cost much and they are very good. Of course..there are romanian players that we can`t afford..like Mutu or Chivu

It does not say that Palacio accepted the offer, it says that Palacio denied rejecting it...also, he says: "If Lazio comes with a VERY GOOD offer, I would not say no"...that's a bit different from accepting the offer...:)

Dont know how true it is but it would be unbelievable if Lotito was able to somehow bring him to Formello.

Palacio would be great but at the same time I am wondering wouldnt the 15-20 million be better spent on 2 or 3 good, solid players? Perhaps with Serie A experience - or even european?

And I like the idea of bring some Romanian players to Lazio.... Rat has been linked with Lazio and he had a very good Euro and does well at club level too. I assume Lotito has or will try to tie down Radu to us?

But what about Palacio's Argentinian nationality - haven't we already used our 1 non-EU player per year bonus with long waited Carrizo deal? Should we wait another year to finalise Palacio deal? Or he has EU passport maybe?....Maybe rules have changed, I'm not up to date...

so the story thus far on Palacio is that a 14 million euro bid by Lazio for Palacio has been accepted and Palacio will join Lazio if Lotito makes a good offer.

Lotito is in no position to make a good offer.

Anybody know what Palacio's wage is in relation to our salary cap.

The article states that talks between Lazio and Palermo over the transfer of Behrami have stalled due to an issue regarding who comes to the club as part of the exchange.

Palermo are willing to offer Cavani or Guana as part of the deal, but apparently Lotito is holding out for Fabio Simplicio.

I dont see the need for Guana. Cavani would be interesting but Simplicio would be awesome aswell. What about some other player? Like a central defender or Bresciano? He has played well in Serie A - apart from last season though.

Guana has been a long term target for Lazio, I think that's why he's being offered as part of the deal, but to be honest, we seem intent on Simplicio. I don't know much about Simplicio, he's no spring chicken, I think we should negotiate someone younger. In fact, I wish we did a direct swap for Barzagli before he joined Wolfsburg.

Guana in my opinion would be better suited than Simplicio

take Guana, and yes we do need a mediano who is good with the ball.

On Palacio, I'm not sure about this move. 14 million is a lot for a player who is unproven in Serie A and personally I think a lot of the rumours are unreliable

I guess we need to take risks to get back up to the top

One thing seems clear, next week we will sign Cosmin Moti (23) from Dinamo Bucharest for a fee believed to be between 3 and 4 million euro. His agent declared that Dinamo and Lotito agreed, and the player is more than excited about moving to Lazio.

If I'm not wrong it says that Behrami could stay at Lazio for the 2008/2009 season because they are trying to reach a deal that is good for both sides. While Palermo have offered Cavani or Guana for Behrami, Lazio wants Simplicio.

It's looking increasingly more likely that Foggia will come back to Lazio My only reserve is that hopefully we won't use him as a trade on other signings though.

Stendardo, Behrami and Foggia may be staying with Lazio this season? That would be great!

Although I reckon that Foggia will only stay if Lotito sells Behrami.

However, it's conceivable that they could all play in the one side.
