| Do we need him? - Quote :
Inter striker Hernan Crespo could be in line to swap the San Siro for the Olimpico in Rome this summer as he is linked with a move back to his old stomping ground Lazio.
A report in 24oredisport.com claims the Argentinean hitman, who's current deal with Inter expires at the end of term, will be heading back to the capital. Voices surrounding the Milanese claim Crespo has already been offered a deal by the Aquile worth around €1million per season.
The former Parma ace left Lazio in 2002 to join Inter when Ronaldo left the San Siro to join Real Madrid. Crespo finished the 2000/01 season as top scorer by bagging 26 goals. He also won the Italian Super Cup with the Capitolini.
The striker has been used sparingly by Jose Mourinho, and he is likely to leave once his deal expires in June.
With Crespo a possibilty, former Lazio midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has also been linked with a move back the the club he left in 2001 for Manchester United. goal.com

| I think that we don't. There's really nothing wrong with the current attack, and none of the Za-Pa-Ro deserves to be benched for Hernan, as well as Hernan would not like to warm the bench either. | |

Couldnt have said it any better myself... as much as Crespo is probably the best Strikers of all time in my opinion..especially in Italy...he is getting on and as much as I would love to have Hernan at our club again, we need to bring on that 4th striker at our club..Medicino etc there is no point having someone just for nostalgia...again i would love to have players like Crespo and Veron back..But cmon guys, think about our future..we have a good crop of youngsters and mid tear players..its time to finally get the right balance...Rocchi should be our most experienced striker, and he IMO is a superior asset to our club that potentially bringing in Crespo.. ZA PA RO is an attack that some teams would kill for...lets stick with it what is successful...

| i know ur not goping to want to hear this one, butt crespo maybe comming in to replace pandev???
certainly hope not, but i have a bad feeling that lotito will pay zarates tranfer with a summer move from pandev. Hope not.
Eventhough i once nicked myself valdanito due to crespo in this community over 4 years ago, i think replcaing pandev with crespo is potentially the worst deal u can strike.
I just dont trust lotito, maybe hes here to replace inzaghi and to have a decent target man after all.

Dude...I hear what your saying...But definitely ZERO chance of that happening...Pandev has been the best thing thats every happened to Lazio...Probably one of the best signings Lazio have ever made...He is a champion of the club..Still has years on his side..And is one of the most potent attackers we have ever had.. Inzaghi's contract wont be renewed..so if anything Inzaghi out, Crespo in...Which i wouldnt be to sad about...if there are injuries, suspensions etc Seeing Crespo as a replacement is not a bad replacement. He is 33yrs old..And given Del Piero and Trezegol is still playing Crespo may be an asset.. But sorry dude, you'd have to be crazy to think Pandev would go..Loitito aint that stupid..

| "The price was raised Zarate" L 'Al Saad confirmed the arrival of Lotito to treat Zarate. "Now there are many offers on the table for Zarate after the brilliant season that has increased its value in the European market - the statement on the club website -. Following the agreement signed this summer for the loan, the club Al Saad will give priority to the club biancoceleste. The quality of the damage Zarate Annex Saad right to ask a high price to sell it. "
"When they offered me and I saw him play, I immediately sent my assistant to take it - says the president Lotito -. Today everyone is talking about Zarate, but when I brought the Lazio nobody knew him, there was grave concern. I have always thought that we must not evaluate a player based on the economic value or for recruitment. Then the good coach who can do well by inserting them in the context of a strong and united, because in football you must fight individuality and focus on the collective, the victory is the sum of the efforts of everyone. | Lazio 'agree Angeleri deal' Thursday 23 April, 2009 It is being reported in Spain that Lazio have completed a deal for Argentine defender Marcos Angeleri. The 26-year-old stopper currently plays for Estudiantes, but he is being courted by a number of European sides. One of those clubs are Lazio, who are keen to galvanise their squad this summer after a disappointing Serie A campaign. According to Spanish newspaper AS, Lazio and Estudiantes representatives met yesterday and have agreed a fee. The deal is reportedly worth around £3.5m and a five-year contract is waiting for the rising star. Lazio would pay around 70 per cent of the fee immediately and 30 per cent in the summer. Atletico Madrid were keeping an eye on the wing-back, but they seem to have been beaten to it. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/apr23s.html

| Well i think it might be okay for us to bring in Crespo and Veron if there is a possibility. We are lacking experience to compete at the top 3 table so it is wise to bring in veterans to teach the youngster on the pitch. It normally works a lot of the time. Sometimes the youngsters just do not know how to be consistant. Look at the sloppy games against the B SIDES TEAMS.
Veron is still a top player. Crespo is still a good finisher. We will have Pandev, Zarate, Rocchi, Crespo. Not bad?
I hope Lotito sorts out Zarate deal. Just buy him outright. We do not want Al Saddad team to increase the value of player. I think they are just playing., Contract is contract.
iF Angeleri is true, then welcome on board son. It would be excellent to have him. We are slowly getting there. Just change the coach please. Bring in Simeoni or Mazzari

| Isn't Angeleri a right back? Why do we need another right back when we have two young talented right backs? I hope he can play central as well, otherwise I think it's stupid to purchase a right back before a center back.. | |

He plays CB and RB. CB for Argentina and is good in that position.

| Question mark time!
Rossi now has a regular eleven:
Muslera Kolarov Cribari Siviglia Lichtsteiner Foggia Ledesma Matuzalem Brocchi Pandev Zarate
Generally, he likes to have two players for every position and that goes rght down to 2 left centre backs and two right centre backs. If Angeleri is to play right centre back, that means Diakite' or Siviglia leaves. Sebastiano is a regular and Mobido is a killer prospect so I can't see that happening. If Angeleri is to play right back, that means either the brilliant Lichti leaves or the massive talent Lollo leaves. If Angeleri is to play right mid, that means Brocchi or Dabo departs. But Angeleri at right mid makes no sense. I thought we were looking for a similar winger to Foggia to balance out our wings, Angeleri doesn't really give that security. BUT, he is probably better than Dabo so if Angeleri comes in, I assume we will see Dabo leave.
The big doubts surround, Carrizo, Radu, Rozehnal, Mauri and Rocchi. They were all regulars not so long ago. How long will they accept a place on the bench for?

| i hope siviglia , dabo , and manfredini go. and maybe it's better if brocchi go too. brocchi is a good midfielder , but i think we have to regenerate our squad. if brocchi and dabo go , we can use lichtsteiner as a right midfield , so we can rotate de silvestri and angeleri (if he come) in the right back , or maybe we can rotate criba, rozehnal, diakite+angeleri (if angeleri come and if siviglia go) . veron's arrival would be nice , if dabo + brocchi go , we need at least 1 good midfielder to accompany ledesma + matu . and veron would be nice i think we dont need crespo , because we already have ZA-PA-RO-FO , we can rotate them . if another forward come , i think rocchi will go about carrizo , i think he better leave lazio and find another big team , maybe arsenal , milan , or bayern. they are looking for a goalkeeper i heard. it's good for us if we sell him , we can get fresh money and we can buy good midfield + CB (veron/angeleri) if carrizo go , i think we should take berni back or promote degre | |

| Lazio eyes BuzagloLazio has its eyes on Maor Buzaglo, a young Israeli midfielder. Born January 14 1988, Buzaglo is part of the second generation of players who are emerging from the country. Currently he plays in Maccabi Tel Aviv and is part of the Israeli national team. His contract expires in 2012 and his market price is around 4.5 million euro. Confirmation of Lazio’s interest came directly from the players agent, Oved Kraus: "Yes it’s true, Lazio is interested he told calciomercato.com - Maor is one of the stars of Israeli football and Lotito’s club immediately realized his potential. Maor is brilliant and is only 20 years old. His future transfer will only be positive for Maccabi Tel-Aviv". Buzaglo also played in the youth teams of Juventus and Olympique Lyon, as well as those of Maccabi Haifa FC and Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. In 2006-07 he was transferred, on loan from Maccabi Haifa to Hapoel Petah Tikva and then the following year, to Bnei Sakhnin: "On 30th July 2008 he signed a four-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, said Kraus - and this is a player who has worn the national team shirt of the Under 17 until to the higher national. With the Under 19, he scored 21 goals in 35 matches. He is a reliable player". But competition is around the corner: "I am about to leave for London to speak with some of the Premier league clubs and then we will evaluate. Italy would be an excellent springboard for Maor. Lazio? I spoke personally with Lotito and Igli Tare, let’s see what happens". http://www.calciomercato.com/index.php?c=46&a=120935 | |
