| Unbelievably uninteresting pairings tonight. If I had to choose which game to watch I'd choose "none, fuck this let's see what's on the history channel".
And so they decide to broadcast Chelsea vs Porto. "Old news" vs "12 consecutive losses on english soil" means wooohhooo am I skipping this game or what.

You're right, but thanks for the stats, I'm off to the bookies Wouldn't be surprised if Porto finally bag a win against predictably dull opposition.

| I expect Marseille to sneak a win but I don't think it will be a great game.
Sile is right, the ties are fairly disinteresting. I actually think Wolfsburg - CSKA will be the match of the day.

| I'm hoping Bordeux can put up a good fight against Juve.
As for the panel you mentioned, I like that idea. Especially if we're both picturing a set of judges seated in a row holding up cards marked 1-10.

| Pippo Inzaghi, I mean this is getting ridiculous. Another two goals tonight without much playing time under the belt this season as it is, and he delivers two extreamly well taken goals. Hes 36, and still at the highest level. Bordering on unbelievable. | |

| He is one vastly underrated individual. It's a real stuggle to find many players nowadays who will even go on to achieve what Pippo has done and yet a lot of the big names nowadays will get a better reputation. Tremendous player and professional.
Looking forward to tonight's matches. I may skip Barca - Inter to watch Standard - Arsenal. Seriously, I expect that to be a cracking little game and I'm sure the highlights of Barca/Inter will suffice.

| Lyon - Fiorentina anyone?
Yesterday was dead boring, today it's crammed with exciting encounters. I wish I had a chance to simultaneously watch 3 games - Inter v Barca, Lyon v Fiorentina and Stuttgart v Rangers

Hope the Viola can get something away to Lyon.
I think Standard can suprise Arsenal like they did Liverpool.

I picked the right match to watch. Unfortunately, as soon as Standard grabbed two goals, I sensed Arsenal would find a way back in the next 85. They missed Defour.

They missed Defour. FT 2-3 Arsenal was back in the game just before HT scoring the 2-1. The 2nd half a lot of possession, but with Jovanovic dropping out Arsenal took control, the 2-2 seemed handball + off-side, and the 2-3 just after some bad defending. Standard was too small for Arsenal, but with AZ and Olympiakos they can compete for 2nd place.

I must watch the highlights but I hazard a guess that Barca controlled the possession and couldn't find the breakthrough goal while Inter had few chances. I just think a side like Inter can stifle Barca but not muster enough of a threat. Standard - Arsenal was a battle of good attacking play against questionable defences and that's why I opted for that.

Yeah, i watched the game and Barca controlled possession. But, Inter, and Diego Milito to a more refined point, had two chances to put inter up. The first he lacked power with, the second he slipped in the area before laying off to stankovic. Sneijder went close to, and Santon would have been clear through but fo being pulled down, so Inter had decent opportunites but didnt take them. An interesting 0-0 game to watch.

Barcelona were miles better. Internazionale was defending like their lives depended on it in the second half. Ibrahimovic should have scored in the first half. Messi also should have scored in the second half when he got on the end of Henry's shot. Internazionale did not have any clear chances. Just half chances.

| Dont know were all this negativity is coming from regarding Inter's performance. Inter defended well but always looked to attack, and had Milito have been sharper maybe they could have won the game. | |

Always looked to attack? Hardly. Milito and Eto'o were isolated because Sneijder had to come deep and defend like the entire team was doing. Inters best chance was a long range effort from Stankovic. That tells its own story about Internazionales attacks when they could not even get in the Barcelona penalty area. It would have been fantastic if Ibrahimovic had scored when he was put through in the first half. Then the onus would be on Inter to properly attack to get something out of the game. Then we would have a proper game. I hope in the match in the Camp Nou Barcelona score first.

| Barca's best chance? Messi 2nd minute? Keita?
Barca controlled possesion as they always do but really never threatened Julio Cesar, thanks to some world class defending, Inter had a few chances, Stankovic, and Milito in the same move but he messed up his footing.
All in all, pretty even game.

All in all, pretty even game. Ibrahimovic when clean through in the first half. Should have scored. Messi from yards out steers Henry's shot over. Keita misses when he had all the goal to aim for with Cesar standed. Three clear chances. Inter, no clear chances. Valdes with hardly anything to do but then again you would imagine as much since Barcelona had twice as much possesion even though they are the away side. Even? Hardly. Barcelona was the only team that looked like scoring. They were the protaganists.
