Serie A: FIORENTINA-LAZIO, Sunday 08-02-09

A fighting spirit is all what i want to see.

We had the F*cking biggest spirit agianst Milan at the first half.
And they tried and tried over and over at the second but they coulden't.
Our deefence is a couple of guys he don't understand eachother.
They don't talk the same language, they don't cooperate.
How the hell are we going to need more spirit when that is not correct in a team who wan'ts to reach topp 6 in the league? impossible!

Have read LOTS of posts about who is to blame...which players are not playing with heart / inspiration...who should leave...what is Rossi thinking with formation ___________. Enough finger pointing. It's old. It's tiresome. It's boring. It doesnt' solve anything.

The results of the past games can not be fixed. They're done. booked. Move on!

I think we should try and win not by outplaying our opponent as we can all see we can't do but by outsmarting them. May be we should try and close up our half of the field and counter attack .....

I really hope it is, because in this case the Roma scenario will repeat and we might again start playing some football. Or...maybe...it's a psychological problem with Rossi himself?

Does the Coppa Italia final automatically give a UEFA Cup place or do you NECESSARILY have to win it?

Reaching the final itself guarantees qualification in the event that the winner secured qualification for either European club competition through the season ranking.
So if we go to the final and play Inter, no matter the outcome of the game, then we are in Uefa league. If Sampdoria goes to the final then we either have to win the competition or hope that either we or Doria end up 6th or better at the end of the season.

Capito, so practically beating Napoli (or Juve) will guve us the UEFA Cup place. Maybe we should put up all of our efforts in the Coppa rather than serie A.

I guess you don't see Sampdoria beating Inter either.
Basically we only need two good games to save this season and make it a relatively successful one.
First would be to beat juve/Napoli in the first leg let's say 2-0 which would practically ensure the final.
Second would be to beat merda in the derby.

If all else fails then yes we could put all the eggs in one basket and go for coppa. But it won't fail, we're experiencing a setback which I'm sure we'll overcome.

Agree with you..this match comes in a very difficult time. Another lost and we`re one step closer to serie b. I hope that we won`t see another humiliation..though i doubt.

Lichtsteiner has had like 2 bad games out of 22. Considering how sh*t our defence is, that's a brilliant effort.

Cribari should start, I dont know what went wrong between him and Rossi, but I am hoping him to play against Fiorentina..

I'm expecting a very tight match.. Don't be surprised if we got 3 points for this match..
