| I held Goran in very high regard and some of you may remember me telling others to back off him when he was playing badly because it was leaked that he needed surgery on his foot.
It appears that that was a complete lie to excuse his poor performances. Why was he playing badly? According to Goran himself, it was over his contract. Lotito negotiated with him in good time and Goran's agent has admitted it was economically sufficient. The problem is, Pandev waited until he had only 12 months on his contract before announcing he wanted a new challenge. As Chris said, we respect that but look at the position we're in because of it.
I still want him to say; I genuinely think Zarate, Pandev, Rocchi and Cruz would be the most dangerous frontline in Italy and one of the best in the world (based on the fact they can create goals for themselves and all four can score at least 10-15 goals a season). However, the way he has handed this is a joke. I can't say Lotito handled it perfectly either but Goran's situation is not the same as Ledesma's or De Silvestri. Claudio left it too late with Cristian (presumably because of his relationship with Rossi, whose future was uncertain) and Lollo just doesn't believe he has the ability to match Lichti and he's taking the easy way out (don't care that he is 'laziale', in effect, that's what he's doing).
The facts say Goran put us in this position and how much Claudio contributed to that is anyone's guess. Kris, you made a good point that this happens in football; take a look at Eto'o. He did the same as Goran only worse, he didn't tell anyone. But Barca knew it and cut their losses by using him as bait in a swap deal. Mourinho thinks he got deal of the century but all in all, Barca got exactly what they wanted. You're certainly right about one thing; how Lotito has handled getting rid of him is questionable and as you suggested, perhaps it is all a ploy to force him into signing a new contact.

| all of us (also goran himself)now that nobody will give 19min(just a year of his contract),but i m think that all of this "bad relation"between goran and lotito its to put him in charge of another clubs, like come and get a great player...,sincerely i dont think that goran will put us in bad position,i think that he and lotito have a deal how to make more money both of them | |

| The price tag is really silly.... Not because he is not worth it but because he is a almost a free agent... If he wants he can pay of his contract (some club will pay it of for him) and then he is a free man... And considering how much he erns right now it will be less then 2 million euros... Does he make that thing.. NOOO... Why? Because he is gratefull for what Lazio has done with his cariere... Was Goran offered a pay rise and a new contract? Yes but not 2.5 mill like Juve or Zenit are ready to offer him but if the price tag is normal... The offer from Lotito was 1.5 per season which is silly... Again I can understand Lotito speaking nowdays but is he really in the position to threten? Pandev will play but only at the bench??? No Lotito.. Pandev will buy out his contract and because of that Lazio will lose the most... And as you have said Lotito is not bigger then Lazio... |

A gentlemens agreement indeed, however the behaviour is anything but gentlemen like. More so that of a toddler.

i think should be lock this subject... What is so "shiit" when discussing arguably one of our most important players of the last decade? If this issue bores you zoran, dont read it, as far as im concerned, this issues resolution or non resolution effects our whole mercato. As a fan this is very important to me, & far from boring. Perhaps you can sit down and watch bambi on dvd with some buttered popcorn if you need a cure for your boredom?

| I empathise with you guys; you're both big fans of the player and the situation has now crossed the line of ridiculous.
I suggested weeks ago that if we receive a bid from anyone for 6 million or above, we should accept it. I got lambasted for saying that and I understand why but the price we put on his head was too much.
I genuinely believe no bids have been made; I do believe Advocaat spotted a great deal and wanted to bring in Goran (in fact, I know that's true) but Zenit went against his wishes which is typical of our luck.
Europa League participation means we effectively have 2 weeks to sell him or it's an inevitability he will walk for free. His hit rate dropped last season and I guess in the eyes of coaches outside Italy, he's not worth the punt. I must admit, I have doubts about him now too. For everyone inside Italy, the price is ludicrous. The best we can hope for is that someone makes a last gasp bid in desperation.
A real shame, becuase 18 months ago, he was the bees knees

| I rate the Macedonian National team more than most probably would but this is a friendly and for both sides, it's a training session, in all fairness more so for Spain.
Which is why they've hit back with three goals in five/six minutes. This shouldn't attract Pandev bids.

We donīt need a world class player who doesnīt want to wear our shirt anymore... He can be the best player of the world - if he wants to leave - he should leave. Thatīs easy.

| first of all - its not true that Pandev doesnt want to play for Lazio... 2nd - i think that there is many richer clubs who want Pandev...but i think they r not so stupid to play lots of money when he left one year of his contract and also he is not in good relation with Lotito... 3d i think that after not playing in Supercup he should buy his own contract... | |

Zenit would be a sweet new home. Its not Italy its not Spain its not England but its a lots of money and thats the most important thing. Get atleast 10 millions of him and that would be enough....the time is ticking
