Forza Inter! I'm glad they won. They deserved it. Milito is a MONSTER - hats off to him. Also, despite all the BS with Stanko and Pandev, I must say I enjoyed watching them play today. This was a nice win for Serie A and to all the critics who hate on us and prefer the EPL / La Liga - F YOU!

Milito simply has to be in line for European and World Player of the Year. Achievements are second to none and he scored all the winning goals. Messi he is not but boy would he deserve it. Great to see Zanetti lift that and kudos to Deki and Goran too; not my favourite people in all the world but nice to see some of our own gain some glory.

The year is only half completed and we still have a little something called the World Cup to play.

Given Milito probably won't even start for Argentina, don't expect him to get this award.

Although I agree, he probably is the best right now.

Well done to Internazionale for giving Serie A a big boost, although you'll still get all those idiots who just say "oh but it was such a boring defensive performance blah blah.. Barca are gods.. blah blah... EPL is the best league...

Players like Zanetti deserve to be successful after such long and loyal service. He is a real example to everyone and I wouldn't be surprised if he is still going after 40 to try and break Maldini's records.

Not their most important victory this season in our point of view, but a good one none the less Wink tongue

Actually you have to see how much of an Italian team Inter actually is. They got players like Toldo or Materazzi, who hardly play, and Balotelli, who is more in the newspapers for his behaviour than for his outstanding skills. Inter was also damn lucky. Chelsea didn't get a penalty in the 45th minute of the first leg (plus a red card for Samuel), Barcelona didn't get a penalty in the first leg (around 75th minute on Dani Alves, who got, are you kidding me, booked for a dive!!!) and Milito scored from an offside position during that game. In the final a clear penalty for handball wasn't given to Bayern. However, to say the least, this is a great team with great players and an even better coach, whom you got to admire.

let's don't forget the second goal barca scored at the second leg was not a hand ball as keita I think was to close to react and his hand was close to his body and the goal could easily allowed

my 2 cents on the subject - two teams that didn't deserve to be on the final were there

Barca were garbage and outplayed in both legs. They were made to look ordinary in an Arsenal sort of way.

Both teams deserved to be in the final because (a) Barca couldn't break down 10 men with the supposed best attack in the world and (b) United took their foot of the gas, let Bayern into it and showed their incompetence by not defending a corner adequately.

Refereeing in Europe is ridiculous but it is not biased and it evens out. Fiorentina should have eliminated Bayern, admittedly but the fact is, they didn't stop Robben's shot when it was in their grasp. Inter, on the other hand? They just deserved it and I cannot find a substantial argument against that.

Who said Fiorentina should have eliminated Bayern? I'm by far no Bayern fan, but Fiorentina also scored a goal from offside-position in the second leg.

It is sad, and maybe (or probably) I am just being short sighted, but hasnt the refs screwed up more decision these last couple of season, compared to earlier years? I think this year somehow took the price, but overall I feel the refs are making more crucial mistakes these days...

I think especially the so-called assitants really screwed it up. Mayne times they just don't get their job done. It would be time for the video replay, but currupt *******s like Michel Platini or Sepp Blatter will make sure it never happens.

Has there been any report on how the system with !"penalty area refs" actually worked? I saw a few games with extra refs, but couldnt see an improvement on issues inside the area. I think they are doing everything they can to avoid introducing cameras, but they should realise the game is too fast for a few refs to handle. Something needs to be done with the help of technology (and more than the refs being able to communicate easier),but I have no clue of what and how.

Out of the two team Bayern did not deserve to be there. They were lucky. They were extremely lucky to get past Fiorentina when they clearly got very wrong deciosions go their way. In four of the six knockout games Bayern played against ten men. Hardly a coincidence. Three of them you could argue were very soft red cards. Put it like this way, if Bayern took Internazionale's route in facing Chelsea, CSKA Moscow and Barcelona, no one would think Bayern could reach the Final. Anyways if Internazionale never reached the Final, Barcelona would have and lets face it they could have destroyed Bayern. The same result for Bayern because clearly like their coach said, they are not on par with the best in Europe.

This is how you build a team and win titles. I think Mourinho is disgusting in many ways, but man does he know how to create a winning mentality.

Are you maybe a ManU fan pissed by the fact that they lost against Bayern? The red card of Rafael in the second leg was no coincidence, it was just a stupid foul by a young and unexperienced player. I wonder what you actually consider a soft red card. I remember the ones of Rafael and Toulalon, and those were correct decisions. Actually, against Lyon, Bayern played with ten men before Lyon did. So please get your facts straight. If you call some of the teams in the final lucky to be there, then it has to be Inter as much as it has to be Bayern. Oh, how did Barca reach the final against Chelsea in the semis last year? A goal in the 89th minute after two penalties weren't given to Chelsea???

No. Are you maybe pissed off that Internazionale made Bayern look like the ondinary one player team that they are? Internazionale are at least a level above Bayern. There was clear gap between the teams.

It was stupid but it was soft red card. The first yellow Rafael recieved when Van Bommel committed a foul first. Second yellow for putting his arm on Ribery's shoulder. It that is a standard red card then we would be having red cards in every game. How many times did we see this season the Internazionale defenders holding players? Ibrahimovic shirt got ripped. Where was the yellow card? Never. Toulalan second foul he got the 50-50 ball and then caught Schweinsteiger in the follow through. He made the most of it. Hardly a yellow card. Please read what I write. Bayern did play against 10 men in four of the knockout games. As for Ribery's red card out of all the five in Bayerns knockout games that was the most worthy of a red card.

Internazionale might have been lucky to get to the Final but so were Bayern. Both teams were lucky on decisions but in the end Internazionale were better and it showed. Even if Internazionale never reached the Final the most probably Barcelona of Chelsea would have. And those two teams could destroy Bayern more then Internazionale could. Like last season when Barcelona destroyed Bayern 4-0 and never got a clear penalty as well in Camp Nou.

UEFA decides to go for two extra assistants in next year's CL, domestic leagues are free to do as they wish, and it might also be an option for the 2012 EC qualifications...
