The code is public, so for this season at least, whoever wants to join.

We'll review the structure next season; we actually need a lot of competition to make this popular and work.

Looking forward to the start of the league tomorrow.

I picked Luis Jimenez.

Think it could be a good year for him.

Just saw this fantasy league thingy, entered my team "Janice It Hurts"....
I've never done this free one before and have two teams in a money winning league so maybe this one will get forgotten but I'll try!

That's a realistic possibility for many but hopefully the level of competition will keep the majority, if not everyone, interested.

For anybody who is new to this particular setup, I'll give you a quick lowdown:

Firstly, I suggest you all read this: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/rules.mc

I'll give you my own tips from experience below. It is up to you if you wish to avail of this advice or not; I wouldn't claim to be a great player by any means!

You don't have that much money to spend, so a lot of it is about striking a balance between highscoring players, average players who may step up a gear or two and cheap players who may exceed their initial value.

Player values can increase slowly over the course of a season so it can be a good idea to keep a million or so in reserve. When you pick your team, keep in mind that you are picking it for the season, or at least until you decide to play your wildcard (where you can make unlimited transfers in a week, but can only be used once). You can only transfer one player each week without a points deduction so I would advise you to think long-term with your team.

A lot of it's luck, a lot of it is strategy but the majority of it is having the balls to take risks.

Any questions you have, please ask and I'll try to help. Here's what I look for in my players:

Goalkeepers - Generally, I want at least one goalkeeper who will always play and will keep clean sheets. Beyond that, I think about the number of saves that goalie is likely to make and how good that goalkeeper is at penalties. I normally look for my sub goalie to be a player who plays regularly but is cheap.

Defenders - I look for defenders who play in teams with good defences and then I look to see which defenders score regularly. I try not to spend too much money in this area but defenders can make or break your team

Midfielders - From experience, the key area of the team. I try to get prolific goalscorers in there first and foremost and then I worry about assists and finally clean sheets. I tend to opt for attacking midfielders more so than defensive midfielders as they rack up more points, in general.

Forwards - I don't put much emphasis on forwards, I usually look to get in one, top class goalscorer and try and find one or two potential surprise packages alongside him. Attackers are expected to score and so they rack up less points so I'm always looking to get bags of goals for little money.

Also note that indiscipline can play a huge part in deductions and also, if you heed nothing else, CAPTAIN SELECTION IS CRITICAL!!! A wise captain selection can bring you right back to the top of the league at any stage of the season.

At present you cant, on the Euros one, you could. I'm not sure if we can see the teams once the season kicks off. I'll try and find an explanation.
