| Anyone see the Hageland case of mis-identity against Roma. So strange. What exactly do these extre 'refs' do during the game if they even tell who made the foul. | |

| I went to the Lille - Genoa game with Il Capitano. We joined the away section and had a great time! Genoa was actually way better the first half but they couldn't continue that in the second.. | |

| Watched the 2nd half of Merda and Basel during breakfast. Merda unbelievably lucky on several occasions. Played trap, calls went their way, dived their way to a couple of free kicks. Really only had 1-2 decent shots on goal in the 2nd half, and scored. Basel had many good opportunities to score - but unfortunately no luck on their side (hit the bar once and one was cleared off the line). Totti was whining as usual. And Barbie Doll Mexes looked queerer than usual.
Looking forward to the Derby I don't think Merda are playing that well. Their defense today was worse than ours. They were good on the counter attack though and that's how they won it. The first half penalty they got was also dubious. As I said, in this match they were lucky to get all 3 points. Basel must surely feel disheartened and unjust.

| Just watched Genoa - Valencia. Valencia won 2-1.
Genoa absolutley destroyed them from start to finish.
There keeper Scarpi should never ever be forgiven.
He handed Valencia the win.
A pathetic misjudgement from Bruno's header handed them the lead. With the last kick of the game, he miscued a goal-kick right into the path of David Villa to round him and seal the win.
Unlike us, Genoa can be very proud of there European efforts and can hold there heads high.
To think Genoa had Amelia on the bench? Scarpi was absoilutley disatrous.

| Happy to see Merda lose. There's a reason why Panathinaikos are my favourite Greek team Also..... hahahaha at Salzburg. Hope Standard knock them out next week. Wolfsburg and Benfica got good away results. Nice to see Liverpool win their game as well. A shame that Ajax lost. I liked their goal though. Amauri seems to be getting back to his goal scoring ways. Did anyone see Kouemaha's goal for Brugge? The goal keeper was definitely at fault with the weak, long shot. | |

| Galatasaray Vs AtMadrid - disaster of referee make the Turks out....the blind goal line referee didn't see pure penalty from 3metars far at the end of the game....even with 5-6 referee at the game they didn't see nothing....disaster for the fair play football.... | |

| Last nights Europa League football action was fantastic and a much welcome relief from the cagey monotonous affairs from the Champions Leagues. Fulham- Juventus was a score no one could have predicted. Absolutely flabbergasted. Embaressing for the Bianconeri. Summed up by Zebina's reaction to his own fans after he got sent off. Dempsey's goal was simply a peach. Out of all the goals I watched this seaosn that has been the best. If you have not seen it then I recommend watching it. Werder Bremen against Valencia was a fantastic match. Awful defending from both teams but fantastic attacking play. I hope this attacking mindset continues. It is fantastic and how football should be played instead of one team attacking and the other defending and going for counter attacks. | |

| There were some truly intriguing and exciting games last night. Lots of goals, and teams that were out there to play áttacking football. Lets hope this continues, because so far, the Europa League elimination round has been a lot more interesting and entertaining than CL.
Next round:
1. Fulham - Wolfsburg 2. Hamburg - Standrad Liege 3. Valencia - Atl Madrid 4. Benfica - Liverpool

| Some interesting ties to look forward to. The bottom half (matches 3 and 4) should be very entertaining, and the winners of each one will face off in the semis.
Biggest surprise for me was Fulham overturning a 3-1 deficit over Juventus to advance!

Biggest surprise for me was Fulham overturning a 3-1 deficit over Juventus to advance! And the way they did it...truly amazing, and Dempsey's goal was a sick one! The ref got it all wrong on the Cannavaro red card, but at that night I dont think Juve could have done anything in any case. They were just some sizes too small for Fulham.

| I knew Fulham could and probably would turn that around at the Craven but not in the fashion they did, that was just remarkable. I expected Juve to crumble but I really feel Fulham were going to beat them regardless, that was the impressive factor. | |

| Have anyone seen Atletico 0-0 Valencia ! Ladies and gentlemen. World referee of the year !! Zigic's shirt gets ripped as he gets mauled down towards the ground. Ref shows a wry smile. for those who havent seen the accident ! a clear penalty for Zigic after having his shirt torn apart , but the ref decided it was not clear , he couldnt spot any blood instead he waived away protests. | |

Absolutely stoked about the results tonight, well done Atletico. Actually only Lyon's nightmare game spoiled an otherwise perfect week of footie scorelines.

| I would have liked to see Liverpool progress today but smelling as happens, and well done to Atletico for advancing. A shame Torres couldn't play in either match. Forlan was very impressive in both games.
Another terrific turnaround by Fulham to see them through. Hamburg only have themselves to blame. Up 1-0 in the first half they caved and allowed Fulham back into it and were badly punished.
Don't know which side to go for in the final. I've always had a soft spot for Atletico given how much I dislike Real Madrid, and that Simeone, Torres and Petrov all played there. But I've grown to like Fulham over the last 2 seasons or so under Hodgson's guidance. He is a great coach and has created a good side who have beaten top sides both in England and in Europe over the last few months.

| Fulham - Liverpool would have at least made it an ok game to watch because of the English connection, but we shouldnt judge the final teams because so far the Europa League has shown great games with lots of tension, action and plenty of goals and nice plays...
I am happy Hamburg lost, guess that works in a positive way for the Italian vs German coefficient...
