Best possible group (in my opinion):

Steaua Bucharest
Lazio
Dinamo Zagreb
Ventspils

Worst possible group (in my opinion):

Shakhtar Donetsk
Lazio
Fulham
Toulouse

The honest truth is, there is no 'easy' sides in the draw with the new format. The flipside of that is there are no teams we should fear.

Getting out of a group will come down to who wants it more and after that, it's a survival of the fittest.

Is it possible to be drawn in the same group as Roma or are they keeping teams from the same country apart?

POT 1
Werder Br - Villarreal - AS R*ma - PSV - Shakhtar D - Sp Lisboa - HSV - Benfica - Valencia - Panathinaikos - Ajax - Steaua B
POT 2
Fenerbahce - FC Basel - Lille - Celtic - Everton - Club Brugge - Heerenveen - Galatasaray - Anderlecht - Austria Wien - FC Kopenhagen - LAZIO
POT 3
Hertha Berlin - Sp Praag - Din Boekarest - AEK - Slavia Praag - Levski Sofia - Ath Bilbao - Partizan Belgrado - Hapoel Tel Aviv - Twente - Din Zagreb - Fulham
POT 4
CSKA Sofia - Toulouse - Cluj - Genoa - Rapid Wien - Timisoara - BATE Borisov - Nacional Funchal - Salzburg - Sturm Graz - Ventspils - Sherrif Tiraspol

Are we sure we're in POT 2? I mean 100%?

In that case the best group IMO would be

Ajax
LAZIO
Slavia Prague
Timisoara/Ventspils

Anyway let's just wait for the draw tomorrow.

Definitely do not want Timisaora. They finished miles ahead of Steaua in the league and knocked Shakhtar out of the Champions League...and Shakhtar are the current title holders. Timisaora are the last team I want from Pot 4, after Toulouse.

My ideal group would be: PSV, Lazio, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Ventspils. That would be nice.

I want to avoid the German and Spanish teams. Having a Bulgarian team in our group would be interesting (preferably CSKA Sofia Twisted Evil ).

I want Steaua from the top seed. Believe me..we can beat them easily. I`m from Romania and i know how they are playing. Also..i don`t recommand Timisoara. They can put us in alot of troubles...same goes with CFR.

P.S. : What about Dinamo ? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Maybe they forgot us or something Wink

I want a tough group with big teams...that will make a very interesting period. Werder (i still remember the matches that we had with them in CL and i have my personal issues cheers cheers ), Fulham (it`s always nice to play with a team from England), Toulouse (they seem to be one of the fines in 4). But i wouldnt mind to have Steaua or Dinamo either Very Happy

Give me :
(Ajax-PSV)
LAZIO
(Twente-Fulham)
and anyone in pot 4

so I get 2 x the chance to see Lazio on a daytrip
to bad that in pot 2 are 2 weak Belgian sides (Anderlecht-Club Br), and Lille (45 min drive from here) and Heerenveen

Litex Lovech are out..... Crying or Very sad 4 minutes away from qualification when BATE scored and forced extra time. From there they scored 3 more to win 4-1 on aggregate. That's a real shame.

I sure am Very Happy It was a great game. Those cheeky russians deserved it! Kerzhakov and some other players talked after the first game that CSKA aren't a good team and that Dynamo will beat them without any problems in Russia. We all saw what happened. CSKA is a great team and I'm proud to be a fan of them! cheers

Litex diserved to loose the game. They didn't play for a win, they played for a draw and that's not the way they should have done it. You can't win the first game in Belarus and then play for a draw home in Bulgaria ...

I would be really happy if Lazio gets to play with CSKA in one group because I will not only see the 2 teams I love in 1 game but I will also get to see Lazio in Bulgaria. Let's just wait and see what will happen in the draw today. :)

For me this would be best:

Steaua
Lazio
AEK
Ventspills

From Pot 1 if we get any of Ajax, Steaua, Sporting, Panathanikos or PSV we have done well.

Villareal are a quality team needless to say.

Levski are the Bulgarian Champions, but beaten home and away to Debrecen, we could have got much worse in Pot C. (Sorry Bobbi)

Salzburg, Austrian Champions, but are nothing to fear, almost going out of Europe completley to Bohemians. Beaten home & away to Haifa.

All in all, we should get by the group, I would be confident.
