| Definitely think PSV can come under some threat there. Nowhere in Bulgaria is easy to go to and this PSV side are not the team of old.
CSKA and Derry City should be close too; I don't really see why the Candystripes should fear CSKA.

| Definitely. CSKA are a good team and tough to breakdown at home, but that tie could go either way. They started 2009 very well with 11 wins in a row in the league meaning they overtook Levski and literally had the title in their sights. with 4 points ahead of Levski and 4 games (including the derby) to go - but they dramatically crumbled towards the end of the season and lost the derby and title - I'm sure that that will affect them for some time..... I'm not complaining though, it was good for me and other Levski fans! | |

| CSKA play the 1st leg at home, so Derry absolutley must score an away goal, because a side of CSKA's quality will surley score at the Brandywell. | |

| CSKA Sofia 1 - 0 Derry City at Full Time.
Great effort by Derry, just coming up a little short, all is not lost though.

0-0 would be amazing, or even niking a goal.
I stil think St Pat's can score in Russia.

| Bulgarian news..... CSKA had a good win over Derry City but its far from over. PSV beat Cherno More 1-0 with a goal in the 93rd minute. Hopefully they can turn the tie around in Bulgaria. Merda scored 3 goals in the last 30 or so minutes. Lame. | |

| Krylya Sovietov 3-2 St Patricks Full Time. Amazing result for Irish football. St Pat's were 3-0 down after an hour, needing 2 goals in Russia? Mission impossible to most. Congragulations St Pat's Now hopefully Derry can do something later against CSKA. Clean sheet is a must, otherwise looking very much mission impossible. | |

| Steaua Bucharest - St Pats
Very tough.
Tougher than Sovietov.
Shame the away leg is first.
Had St pats played at home first, i might have gave them some chance.
I give them a 10% chance.

| I give them none. Steaua are not what they used to be, but it's amazing that St. Pat's got the goals to progress against Krylya. They are in a fight to survive in the Premier Division; they just don't have a quality in my opinion.
I'm just gutted Derry didn't make a better fist of it last night; they were better placed to make a stab at this round.

As for the Bulgarian teams..... CSKA Sofia vs Dynamo Moscow; and Litex Lovech vs BATE Borisov. As always CSKA get a tough draw. I'm happy that I'll see a good team in Bulgaria and I hope CSKA can do something against Dinamo. It won't be easy but I hope CSKA show what they can do. Litex can beat BATE but if they play their best.

| For CSKA Sofia fans, Dynamo Moscow are nothing special, there an ultra defensive out-fit.
Attack them at will and you have a good chance of beating them over the two legs.
Dmitri Kombarov is there dangerman. Kerzakov is to often isolated upfront.

Litex can beat BATE but if they play their best. Martinese, are you a CSKA fan bratko? I haven't asked you, but where in Sofia do you live? I support Levski but I want CSKA to progress, and all Bulgarian teams as well. Dynamo are a good side but not as good as they used to be some seasons ago, and will be difficult. First leg is in Moscow so if CSKA can get a good result there, then they are in with a shout going into the 2nd leg. Kerzhakov is a top player but as Bridge-Bhoy said he is often left isolated up front and if CSKA keep him under control, and attack well enough, then they can pull off a good result. I agree about Litex. If they are at their best I also think they can overcome BATE. All the best to them as well!

| If all the strongest teams make it through the play-off round, the seeding will look like this:
Pot 1 Werder Bremen Villareal Roma PSV Shakhtar Donetsk Zenit St. Petersburg Sporting Lisbon Hamburg Benfica Valencia Panathinaikos Ajax
Pot 2 Steaua Bucuresti Fenerbahçe FC Basel Lille OSC Celtic Everton Club Brugge Heerenveen Galatasaray Anderlecht Austria Vienna Hertha Berlin
Pot 3 Lazio Sparta Prague Dinamo Bucuresti AEK Athens Levski Sofia Aston Villa Athletic Bilbao Partizan Belgrade Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC Twente Dinamo Zagreb Litex Lovech
Pot 4 Toulouse FC CFR Cluj Red Star Belgrade APOEL Nicosia FK Ventspils SV Red Bull Salzburg FC Sheriff Tiraspol Timisoara Fulham Dynamo Moscow Genoa Strum Graz
Teams in bold are guaranteed entrance if they lose their Champions League Play-Off. The rest still have to qualify.
Im pretty sure at least one of the teams above us will fall at the Play-Off Round, so looking like Pot 2 for us unless we get really unlucky.

| so if what you're saying is true then we must hope that either of Zenit st. Petersburg, Club Brugge, Heerenveen, Austria Vienna and Hertha Bsc fail to qualify and we're jumping to pot 2? Those are the only ones with a chance of being Ko'd, here are their first round results
Nacional 4:3 Zenit Lech Poznan 1:0 Club Brugge PAOK 1:1 Heerenveen Metalurg Donetsk 2:2 Austria Vienna Brondby 2:1 Hertha BSC
The other teams seeded above us have managed to secure the Group stages in the first round already with massive wins. I'm not listing Merda because although we all hate them Kosice will fall undoubtedly.

| Yeah true, we must hope atleast one of those 5 teams fails.
Club Brugge are the most likelest team in my opinion to fail, and then possibley Hertha.
